From 1994 – 2012, Tim played an integral role in the development of one of Australia’s most successful privately owned fleet management companies operating in all states and territories of Australia.

Joining the company two years after its formation was a challenging and rewarding experience and after eighteen years the company had grown and matured into a successful entity with an exceptional reputation for fleet management. In 2012 Tim resigned from his role of Executive Director in the business to concentrate on the development of the fleet management profession from a fresh perspective.

As the principal consultant for fleetstrategy, Tim brings nearly two decades of commercial fleet management and leasing experience that includes:

Management of a company with peak staff levels of 44 and annual revenue in excess of $20m.
Development of internal operational systems and processes.
Development & implementation of quality systems.
Management of administrative and operational functions.
Management of compliance aspects of finance broking activities.
Responsibility for Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism reporting requirements.
Responsibility for the development of major tender and RFP documents and presentations..
Management of personnel, OH&S and HR issues.
Customer relationship management.
Board level responsibility for strategic plans, budget development, company branding and performance.

A number of career highlights during this period included:

Business development and growth of a portfolio with peak numbers in excess of 11,000 assets.
An environmental award under the Commonwealth Government / AFMA Greener Motoring Programme.
Social Initiative – Development of a staff public transport free travel scheme.
A Corporate Partnership with the WA Office of Road Safety.
Industry Recognition through the Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA) as a recipient of the Safe Vehicles Award (2010).
Grey Fleet Safety Program – Development of fleet safety principles for organisations with hidden (grey or ghost) fleets where individuals are paid a travel allowance for driving their own vehicles.

Since 1999, Tim has also engaged with The Australasian Fleet Management Association (AFMA), the national peak body for fleet management in Australia and New Zealand. AfMA represents nearly 600 organisations with over 800,000 vehicles. The Association is a volunteer organisation (excepting the secretariat based in Melbourne that manages day to day activities, sponsorship and membership functions).

For a six month period in 2013, Tim was appointed by the AfMA Board as the Acting Executive Director of the Association.

For over a decade, Tim has remained on the board of the association including two full (two year) terms as the Association President. Amongst the responsibilities during his tenure were:

Chairperson – National Committee of Management.
Master of Ceremonies National Conferences and Awards Nights.
Master of Ceremonies West Australian Chapter Seminars.
Chairperson for various forums and subcommittees.
